In ancient times there lived a King who was adored by his subjects and respected
by his government, but after a serious illness brought him to the brink of death,
the King became obsessed with the thought of dying.

His obsession worried his people and his popularity began to decline,
so in desperation he decided to search every corner of the world
for the secret of immortality.

One day rumours reached his ears of a country far to the east
that had found the means of achieving immortality
… the country was called Zipang.

Under royal orders, one of the King’s most trusted barons sets out
for the long journey east to the mysterious country of Zipang.

There he learns about a Samurai named Isshin and three female Ninjas :
Shikahime, Ocho, and Ino.

The Samurai Isshin and the three Ninjas have joined forces to slay a demonic Shogun
called Nobunaga who has murdered their families and loved ones.

The evil Nobunaga has also marked the women with cursed tattoos.

These tattoos were necessary for a secret art called Kuli-Kala
which would grant Nobunaga immortality.

Isshin and the three Ninja women vow revenge against Nobunaga
and swear to put a stop to his ambitions.

The baron subsequently witnesses the epic battle against Nobunaga
and when he returns to his own kingdom, he tells the tale of the battle
and warns of the perils of Kuli-Kula, or the art of immortality,
to his King, in the hope that he will be cured of his obsession
and will once again regain the love of his people.
